Combining the expertise in human behavior with advanced software, our customer provides end-users with a holistic understanding of the constantly changing media landscape. Their data and insights, both global and local, enable their clients to communicate their products/services to the media audiences in a better way, and improve their relationships with other brands to optimize the investments.
About the project
The customer has several development centers around the globe, but all of them are committed to a common goal — design and create new brand software for research performing, new data sources development and opening the new analytical capabilities that empower clients’ business opportunities.
The areas of customer’s services include:
- Advertising and paid search intelligence
- Audience and consumer intelligence
- Reputation intelligence, and PR monitoring and evaluation
- Social media intelligence
Particularly for the Ukrainian development center, the customer has a number of projects in place. You’ll work on one of them, considering your tech stack and skill set. All available projects require in-depth knowledge of PHP and the MVC philosophy, working under Linux/Unix (including debugging the system log files) and using SVN.
#1 Project (From scratch development)
Web-based app to show press review articles using a responsive design, including user management and customizable email alerts.
#2 Project (Extension of the existing tool)
A background process that calculates a value for the press articles based on individual settings (keyword mentions).
#3 Project (Extension of the existing project)
Press review tool related to email newsletters. Feeding an external API with article data from a press review tool for sending an HTML newsletter.
#4 Project (Rewrite an existing Ruby app in PHP)
Build an editor that allows creating coding data for articles manually.
About the team
The team for the projects mentioned above currently has two departments – in Germany and Ukraine. From the German side, you’ll communicate with their in-house PHP developer, and the Ukrainian team gathered under our roof will be consisting of 1 senior Full-Stack PHP developer and 1 Project Manager. The overall number of teammates and their level of skill will grow with time.
Your primary focus as PHP Developer is going to be on bug-fixing and refactoring of the existing products and new features development and implementation.
