Lombardi’s teams across Italy, Switzerland, and France relied heavily on SharePoint for managing documentation. However, their existing system was outdated and inefficient and relied on various custom scripts, layouts, and dashboards. The documents were also available in four languages — Italian, French, German, and English. This approach was inefficient and created two critical bottlenecks:

Our team started with an in-depth analysis and discovery phase to understand Lombardi’s data setup, including all custom configurations and dependencies. We evaluated what elements could be directly migrated and what needed alternative solutions.

This project required a unique combination of SharePoint on-premises and web expertise, automation skills, and multilingual system handling, and we offered a managed services approach as we had the proper in-house expertise to cover all those needs.

SharePoint Online Migration: Successfully executed transition from the legacy on-premises solution to a modern SharePoint Online platform, preserving data structure, relationships, and access hierarchies.
Custom Automation Implementation: Developed a proprietary portfolio generation tool that fully automates the previously manual process. This solution enables employees to instantly compile accurate, multilingual project PDFs directly from SharePoint folders.
Security Optimization: Introduced role-based access profiles, ensuring engineers, sales representatives, and other departments only see relevant information.
Template & Dashboard Enhancement: Developed standardized templates and dashboards to replace scattered Word files and improve reporting consistency.
Data Handling Improvements: Addressed formatting and calculation issues in generated PDFs, like project stats values being displayed correctly.
Our modernization allowed Lombardi to gain a more efficient, secure, and scalable SharePoint environment tailored to its multilingual operations. The automation and standardization we introduced streamlined internal workflows and significantly improved the accuracy and consistency of project reporting across the company.
